Sweet and tangy Vietnamese sauce. Perfect for Seitan Bo Bun.
1/2 C lime juice
1/4 C water
6 tbsp sugar
1 relatively mild jalapeno or chile pepper, finely minced
4 tsp garlic, minced
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sesame seeds
Combine all the ingredients except sesame seeds in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, and stir occasionally for 10 to 12 minutes, until the liquid has thickened to a thin syrup. Remove from the heat and stir in sesame seeds.
